Bruce Conway

Senior advisor, Biology & Pharmacology. Bruce is a scientific leader with over 18 years of experience in both large and small pharmaceutical organizations. While at Johnson & Johnson, Bruce served as the project leader for numerous high-profile, company-wide initiatives and championed the progression of four compounds into the clinic, one of which resulted in Invokana/Canagliflozin as an approved treatment for Type 2 Diabetes. Bruce served as the lead biologist for the global collaboration with Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma and worked with clinicians to ensure a smooth translation from preclinical efficacy models to Phase II Clinical trials. As the Senior Director of Biology and Pharmacology at the Institutes for Pharmaceutical Discovery, Bruce oversaw the scientific operations of the In Vitro Biology, Pharmacology and DMPK Teams. He is the Founder of CPG Consulting and currently serves as the Executive in Residence at Columbia University Medical Centre. He is an inventor on nine US patents and an author on ~ 30 peer-revieved journal articles, book chapters and reviews. Bruce received his PhD in pharmacology from the Medical College of Virginia and did his post-doctoral training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
